Children's Chorus Auditions for Turandot

The Florentine Opera Company announces auditions for the children's chorus in our production of Turandot. Rehearsals begin September 8, 2011; performances are November 4 & 6, 2011. The Florentine seeks children with unchanged voices ages 9-12. Each child must prepare one song from memory and bring printed music for the accompanist. Auditions will be held Wednesday, July 27th from 4 pm until 6 pm at the Florentine Opera Center, 926 E. Burleigh. The Florentine Opera will provide an accompanist. General Director William Florescu and Chorus Master Scott Stewart will be present for the auditions.

2012-2013 Studio Artist Program

The application deadline for the Florentine Opera’s 2011-2012 Studio Artist Program has passed. Information regarding the 2012-2013 Studio Artist Program will be available here in January 2012. 

 


Supernumeraries

Supernumeraries (supers) are non-speaking, non-singing roles, which are important to the plot of the opera. Requirements from the stage director determine the casting of supers for each opera. Individual interested in becoming a super should contact:
