This Audition Information Is What You Need To Know If You Want To Apply Yourself

2013-2014 Chorus and General Auditions

The Florentine Opera Company announces chorus and general auditions in Milwaukee for its 2013-2014 season.  The season will feature Verdi’s La Traviata, November 8 & 10, 2013; Handel's Julius Caesar, March 28 & 30, 2014; and Puccini’s La Bohème, May 9 & 11, 2014.

Auditions will be held on:

Tuesday, May 28 (10am - 6pm)

- and -

Thursday, May 30 (2 - 8pm)

at the Wayne and Kristine Lueders Florentine Opera Center, 926 E. Burleigh, Milwaukee. The Florentine Opera will provide an accompanist.

Singers interested in auditioning should submit resume materials as well as an audition date preference electronically to Lisa Hanson at lhanson@florentineopera.org.  Auditions are by appointment only and must be scheduled in advance. The Florentine Opera Chorus follows the guidelines set forth by the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA).  Potential choristers must be in good standing with AGMA or be willing to join AGMA.

Supernumeraries

Supernumeraries (supers) are non-speaking, non-singing roles, which are important to the plot of the opera.  Requirements from the stage director determine the casting of supers for each opera.  Individual interested in becoming a super should contact:
