Baritone / 2012-2013 Studio Artist
Carl Frank has proven himself a versatile performer in both opera and oratorio. Mr. Frank is thrilled to be joining the Florentine Opera Studio for the 2012-2013 season. Most recently Mr. Frank has appeared as Count Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro with the Arbor Opera Theater Training Workshop. Other roles include Guglielmo in Cosi fan tutte, John Brooke in Little Women, Der Tod in Der Kaiser von Atlantis, Dr. Falke in Die Fledermaus and Ford in Falstaff. He has also recently appeared as a soloist for both Messiah and Fauré’s Requiem. Mr. Frank holds degrees in both Political Science and Vocal Performance from DePauw University. Mr. Frank received his Master of Music from the University of Michigan where he studied with Stephen Lusmann.
Mr. Frank will perform the following mainstage roles for the Florentine Opera’s 2012-2013 Season: El Dancairo in the October 2012 production of Carmen, Sid in the March 2013 production of Albert Herring, and Antonio in the May production of The Marriage of Figaro
