Sandra Piques Eddy’s 2008-09 season includes appearing in the Metropolitan Opera’s Opening Night Gala, as well as singing Page in its production of Salome; the title role in La Tragédie de Carmen in a return to Chicago Opera Theater; the title role in La Cenerentola with Austin Lyric Opera; and Charmian in Antony and Cleopatra with New York City Opera. She also sings Dorabella in Così fan tutte with Opera North (UK) in an upcoming engagement. Recent highlights include singing Lola in Cavalleria rusticana, Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro and performances of War and Peace (Metropolitan Opera), Dorabella in Così fan tutte, Don Ramiro in La finta giardiniera, and Flora in La traviata (New York City Opera), Béatrice in Béatrice et Bénédict (Chicago Opera Theater), Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro (Canadian Opera Company and Atlanta Opera), Isabella in L’italiana in Algeri (Vancouver Opera), Stephano in Roméo et Juliette (Hawaii Opera Theatre), the title role in La Cenerentola (Spoleto Festival USA), and her first performances of Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia (Austin Lyric Opera). In summer of 2008, she sang Romeo in I Capuleti ed i Montecchi at Glimmerglass Opera.
