Director of the Production for the Florentine Opera Company since 2000, Ms. Stollmack’s current projects include the international tour of impermanence and mercy composed and directed by Meredith Monk with performances at the Brooklyn Academy of Music Next Wave Festival. Recent work includes King Lear, Half Life and Bad Dates for the Milwaukee Rep, Gianni Schicchi and A Water Bird Talk for the Skylight Opera Theater and Fidelio, Don Giovanni and Salome for the Florentine Opera. Next season, she will design an all-new production of The Magic Flute for the Florentine Opera.
Past work includes the scenic, lighting and projection design for the Florentine’s new production of Tristan und Isolde, as well as the lighting for Carmen, La Bohéme and The Pearl Fishers for Nashville Opera, The Tales of Hoffman for Opera Pacific and Houston Grand Opera, Carmen for Opera Ontario and Opera Columbus, Don Carlos for Portland Opera; Rigoletto, Andrea Chenier, Eugene Onegin, Tosca, La Traviata for New Orleans Opera; Madama Butterfly and Help, Help the Globolinks for Madison Opera; and many shows at Houston’s Alley Theater, among them: Three Tall Women, Oleanna, All in the Timing, Wait Until Dark and Death and the Maiden. As Lighting Director for Houston Grand Opera, she supervised lighting for such productions as Andrei Serban’s Elektra, Dr. Jonathan Miller’s Der Rosenkavelier, Aida and the world premieres of Harvey Milk, Desert of Roses and Dracula Diary.
Her architectural and public space lighting is installed throughout the Midwest, and is a component in the AIA Wisconsin honor award winning pedestrian footbridge that spans the Milwaukee River as well as the new Pier Wisconsin Discovery World Great Lakes watershed exhibit.
