The Florentine Opera Company announces chorus and general auditions in Milwaukee for its 2016-2017 season. The mainstage season will feature the world premiere of Robert Aldridge’s Sister Carrie, October 7 & 9, 2016; Mozart’s Don Giovanni, March 17, & 19, 2017; Rossini’s Barber of Seville, May 5 & 7, 2017. Additionally, numerous community engagement performances, including the @ the Center Series, will occur throughout the season.

Auditions will be held Tuesday, May 31st (3-7pm) and Wednesday, June 1st (10am-4pm) at the Wayne and Kristine Lueders Florentine Opera Center, 926 E. Burleigh, Milwaukee. The Florentine Opera will provide an accompanist.

Singers interested in auditioning must submit resume, headshot, audition arias and audition date preference to lhanson@florentineopera.org. Auditions are by appointment only and must be scheduled in advance.  The Florentine Opera Chorus follows the guidelines set forth by the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA). Potential choristers must be in good standing with AGMA or be willing to join AGMA.
