--- AUDITION NOTICE --- Comprimario, Chorus and Outreach Auditions The Florentine Opera Company announces auditions in Milwaukee for its 2008-2009 season. The season will feature Madama Butterfly, November 21, 22, 23, 2008; Semele, February 27, 28 & March 1, 2009; The Magic Flute April 17, 18, 19, 2009.Auditions will be heard strictly for comprimario roles, membership into the chorus and outreach roles. Auditions will be held Monday, June 2 (2:00 pm - 9:00 pm), Tuesday, June 3 (2:00 pm - 9:00 pm), and Wednesday, June 4 (2:00 pm - 9:00 pm), at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center, 325 W. Walnut. The Florentine Opera will provide an accompanist. General Director William Florescu and Artistic Advisor Joseph Rescigno will be present for these auditions. Singers interested in auditioning should submit resume materials as well as audition date preference to Lisa Hanson, at lhanson@florentineopera.org, or through the mail, Florentine Opera, 700 N. Water St., Suite 950, Milwaukee, WI 53202. Auditions are by appointment only and must be scheduled in advance. Questions regarding the auditions should be directed to: Lisa Hanson Supernumeraries Supernumeraries (supers) are non-speaking, non-singing roles, which are important to the plot of the opera.
