Although Elmer Gantry‘s final performance was on Sunday, our Studio Artists dived back into presenting Jack and the Beanstalk at to area children with gusto the very next day. A special highlight of the week was a road trip to the south….all the way to Chicago, where two performances were presented for students at Rogers Montesorri School.
Our tour manager Eric Meyers reports, “The school was absolutely beautiful and the kids really enjoyed the performances. We had to tone the the giant and other “scarier” parts down for the first show, since the students were ages 3-5, but in the end nobody was scared and they very much enjoyed it. The younger kids didn’t quite understand the concept of the Q & A session, but the artists quickly adapted to showing them props and explaining the set, which they loved.”
