PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Florentine Opera Company programs reach a broad spectrum of individuals throughout Metro Milwaukee, southeastern Wisconsin and beyond. Each year the Florentine Opera is committed to serving the Greater Milwaukee area with arts programming. Last year, nearly 20,000 students and individuals benefited from Florentine Opera programs. These programs provide a vital addition to local arts education—both in the classroom and on the stage. The Florentine Opera Company Education Department is committed to providing educators with opportunities to utilize opera to meet educational standards, as well as to enhance learning for all students.
Our in-school programs introduce elementary, middle and high school students to the fundamentals of opera and the opportunities that exist within the field of opera. With support from the Florentine Opera Company’s generous donors, schools with limited budgets are granted educational programming for their students.
