From beginning to "Bravo!", students can Get Opera

The Florentine Opera is proud to offer high school students the opportunity to witness the nation's sixth oldest opera company in action! GET OPERA awards opera tickets to high school student groups and, dependent upon the opera, middle school groups.

Additional Offering: Schools that participate may also receive an in-school visit from Florentine Opera staff and the Studio Artists (scheduling based on availabililty). We’ll provide you and your students with background on the opera, as well as live selections and preview performances. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to talk with both staff and artists about the upcoming opera, opera in general, opera-related career opportunities and much more in a question and answer session.

This exciting opportunity allows teachers to enhance learning, provides curriculum or cross-curricular opportunities and most importantly — it allows for a meaningful experience from beginning to 'Bravo'! High school music teachers in Wisconsin are notified of the program — however, Get Opera is not limited to music students. We encourage all who are interested to apply—numerous high school language, history and English teachers take advantage of our GET OPERA program each season.
