The Florentine Opera Company offers a professional “hands on” opportunity for qualified individuals seeking continuing education, or the opportunity to learn new skills. The focus in the wig and makeup department will be furthering specialized skills to design, create and maintain stage hair and makeup. The focus in the costume shop will be developing existing skills in cutting, draping, alterations and crafts. Qualified candidates may choose a shop, or have the opportunity to work amongst all of the disciplines should their pre-existing skill set meet appropriate requirements.
This program is designed for makeup artists, hair and wig stylists, drapers, stitchers and anyone who is interested in the crafts involved with the aforementioned disciplines.
