Lisa Schlenker is a Milwaukee based Scenic Designer who also specializes in Prop Direction for the full spectrum of opera and music theatre works with Skylight Music Theatre. She is an Augustana College alumna in music and theatre, and a 1988 graduate of the MFA program in Theatre Technology at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Lisa’s design work has been seen on the stages of Theatre X, African American Children’s Theater, Renaissance Theaterworks, Milwaukee Shakespeare Company, Milwaukee Chamber Theater, Milwaukee Rep’s Stackner Cabaret, American Folklore Theatre, and the Skylight Music Theatre, where she has designed many projects including the world premiere production of Kirk Meecham’s The Rivals (directed by Dorothy Danner), and the Midwest premiere of Hans Werner Henze’s El Cimarron (directed by Eugenia Arsenis). Upcoming projects include When Butter Churns to Gold, Strings Attached, and No Bones About It with Northern Sky Theatre; and TOSCA with Skylight Music Theatre.
L’Elisir d’Amore is Ms. Schlenker’s Florentine Opera debut.
