Rossini's charming comedy
Shipwrecked and separated from her fiance, Isabella is captured for a sultan's harem. Using her wit, the charming girl remains undaunted. Declaring that she knows how to tame men, she forges her own destiny as a madcap, comedic adventure ensues!
The Florentine Opera presents composer Gioacchino Rossini's whimsical bel canto comedy for only the second time in our 77-year history. Join us this March for an exotic journey to a land of magnificent palaces, swashbuckling pirates and lavish harems, sure to captivate and delight.
A nationally-acclaimed cast of world-class singers will be directed by William Theisen, as Principal Conductor Maestro Joseph Rescigno leads the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra in Rossini's frothy and exuberant score.
