Being touted as one of the next great American Verdi baritones, Opera News describes Mark Walters as “a force to be reckoned with.”  For his performance in La forza del destino, The Salt Lake Tribune said “The tall, handsome singer possesses a magnificently resonant voice and unforced dramatic ability.” Notable engagements in recent seasons include the title role of Rigoletto with Florida Grand Opera and The Orlando Philharmonic; Germont in La traviata with Florentine Opera of Milwaukee; Zurga in Les pêcheurs de perles with Opera Carolina; Renato in Un ballo in maschera with Opera Tampa; Marcello in La bohème with Florida Grand Opera; Valentin in Faust and Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor with Arizona Opera; and a production of John Adams’ El Niño in his début with the Spoleto Festival USA.
