Ariana Douglas

Soprano

Ariana Douglas is from Appleton, WI and earned a Bachelor of Music from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and recently finished a Master of Music from Louisiana State University.

Recent highlights of Studio Artist Ariana Douglas’ career include Mrs. Vance in Sister Carrie (world premiere and recording), covering the roles of Mary Warren and Ann Putnam in The Crucible at the 2016 Glimmerglass Festival, Cugina in Madama Butterfly, Sally in Die Fledermaus, as well as touring with the Florentine Opera’s educational program. Other credits include the soprano soloist for Bruckner’s Te Deum with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and Mozart’s Requiem with LSU Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Douglas is a graduate of Louisiana State University where she completed her M.M. in 2015 and her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2013. She has covered the roles of Mary Warren and Ann Putnam in The Crucible at the Glimmerglass Festival.

Ms. Douglas received an encouragement award in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in 2015 and was one of the four winners of the Wisconsin District Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in 2016.  Ms. Douglas made her Florentine Opera Company debut in 2015 singing Cugina in Madama Butterfly.

Upcoming engagements include Zerlina in Don Giovanni and a return to The Glimmerglass Festival covering Clara in Porgy and Bess.

This is Ms. Douglas’ second season with the Florentine Opera Studio Artist Program.
