FLORENTINE OPERA AND ALTERRA COFFEE PRESENT “FLORENTINE AT THE LAKE” ON THE 10th ANNIVERSARY OF THIS POPULAR SUMMER SERIES.

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin—June 11, 2012— The Florentine Opera is pleased to present one of Milwaukee’s favorite summer traditions, Florentine at the Lake. Celebrating a decade long performance partnership with the local coffee roaster, the Florentine, once again teams up with Alterra Coffee to bring audiences a twice-monthly concert series filled with arias, ensembles and opera favorites. Audiences are invited to sit back and enjoy delicious Alterra food and drinks at one of Milwaukee’s hottest summer hangouts.
Throughout the summer, Florentine at the Lake audiences will have the opportunity to take advantage of special Florentine Opera ticket and merchandise promotions, including the chance to win free tickets to main stage productions. Audiences will also enjoy a tantalizing sneak peek into the Florentine’s 2012-2013 season, featuring Bizet’s Carmen, Britten’s Albert Herring and Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro.

Bonus performances will offer additional evenings at Alterra Humboldt. Our 10th annual outdoor concert series at Alterra is free and open to the public. Come enjoy live opera and musical theater favorites, get a musical preview of the upcoming season, munch on delicious refreshments by Alterra Coffee at Milwaukee's coolest summer hangout in Riverwest, and have the chance to win free tickets to upcoming operas.
