SAINT JOHN’S FLAGG THEATRE PRESENTS
Metropolitan Opera District Winners and Finalists
Thursday, January 25, 2007, 7:30 pm

Soprano Hein Jung of Brookfield, who won the Wisconsin District Metropolitan Opera auditions in October, will perform along with Daniel Peretto of Evanston, Illinois; and Steven Ebel of Jefferson.

The Metropolitan Opera Auditions are designed to discover promising young opera singers.  Each year, local auditions are held in fifteen Regions of the United States and Canada.  Winners of the Wisconsin District auditions advance to the Region Finals held in Minneapolis in February.  Winners of the Regional Finals earn the right  to participate in spring at the National Semi-Finals in New York, where the competition is held on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera.
