The Florentine Opera is excited to announce…

The Young Singing Actor Intensive will take place Monday, July 27, 2015 through Friday, July 31, 2015 from 10:00am to 4:00pm at the Wayne & Kristine Lueders Florentine Opera Center. It will include workshops and training designed for students interested in pursuing advanced vocal studies. All students entering grades 7-12 are invited to apply. General Director, William Florescu, Florentine Artistic Staff, and invited clinicians will provide each student: individual or group voice lessons, musical and dramatic coaching, workshops, and master classes. In addition, the final evening of the program will feature a recital open to friends and family featuring group ensembles and solo performances from operatic and classical vocal repertoire.

Interested students should submit their resume to Sarah Martin, Education & Community Engagement Manger, at smartin@florentineopera.org by Friday, March 20, 2015 to be eligible for an audition on Saturday, March 28, 2015. At the audition, students must be prepared to offer two memorized pieces – one preferably from the classical repertoire. Your assigned audition time will be emailed to you shortly after your resume is received and reviewed.

If accepted, the program fee is $300.

Limited need-based scholarships will be available.
