Pei-Hsuan Lin, Pianist
Taiwanese pianist Pei-Hsuan Lin has performed internationally as both a soloist and collaborative pianist. Beginning in the 2026–27 season, she will join the Florentine Opera as Head of Music, serving on productions of La traviata, Gianni Schicchi, and Die Zauberflöte. She has previously served on the music staff at the Washington National Opera, Annapolis Opera, and Maryland Opera, and has been invited as a guest lecturer by National Tainan Girls' Senior High School and the Southern Taiwan Chamber Music Society.
A graduate of the Cafritz Young Artist Program at Washington National Opera, Lin served as assistant conductor and coach for productions of The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs, The Jungle Book, Roméo et Juliette, American Opera Initiative, and Partenope.
Lin is an alumna of numerous distinguished festivals, including Wolf Trap Opera, where she served on the music staff for Carmen; the Merola Opera Program, where she worked on The Rape of Lucretia; the Aspen Music Festival and School; Renée Fleming’s SongStudio; Fall Island Vocal Arts Seminar; and Domaine Forget International Music Festival.
An active recitalist, Lin has collaborated with distinguished artists including Limmie Pulliam, Soloman Howard, and Leah Hawkins. She has performed at Weill Recital Hall and Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Field Concert Hall, Françoys-Bernier Concert Hall, the Duomo di Todi, and most recently at the Teatro Nacional de Costa Rica in San José.
Lin received a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from National Taiwan Normal University and holds dual Master of Music degrees in Piano Performance and Collaborative Piano, as well as a Graduate Performance Diploma in Vocal Accompanying, from the Peabody Conservatory. She is the recipient of the 2018 Clara Ascherfeld Award and the 2021 Sarah Stulman Zierler Prize in Accompanying and is currently a doctoral candidate in Collaborative Piano at the University of Maryland.
