Education with a high note (or two). At the Florentine, connecting with our community isn’t just a nice idea–it’s part of our core mission. Each year, our programs connect over 10,000 students, educators, and lifelong learners across Wisconsin with the transformative power of opera through in-school performances, interactive workshops, and even onstage student experiences. No tux required–just curiosity and a love of music.

Exposure to opera as a multi-disciplinary art helps students develop intelligence in a variety of areas, including abstract thinking and problem solving.
Opera provides opportunities for self-expression through a variety of forms; and through expression come valuable communication skills, self-discipline, perseverance and leadership.
Part of the Florentine's mission is to bring opera to interested audiences, including students! We have a sliding fee scale based on Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's reported economic levels.
