Learn more about 2024 Child and the Enchantments for Schools

Overview

The Florentine Opera Studio Artists present an adaptation of The Child and the Enchantments by Maurice Ravel.

A naughty boy refuses to do his homework. Magically, the grandfather clock, teacup, and the fire come to life to teach him to correct his behavior. A mischievous boy is ultimately redeemed in helping a wounded squirrel in the garden.

The music will be performed in the original French, interspersed with dialogue in English.

The program runs 30 minutes, followed by a 10 minute Q&A.
